Hall of Mirrors….there is only one!

With mirrors a great luxury this was (and remains) to be one fabulous room in which to attend a party!
A mere 250 feet long, 17 arched mirrors with 17 matching windows with breathtaking views of the gardens; add in 24 gilded candelabra, eight busts of Roman emperors and a ceiling featuring Louis XIV – winning yet another battle.

  1. They sure must go through a lot of WIndex! And now it becomes clear why the Russians always wanted their grand palaces and gardens to be just like what the French accomplished!!!

  2. For me, it was the chandeliers in this room. Back in the day, lit only with candles, one can imagine the dazzling effect not only with the mirrors but on the diamonds worn by the court ladies.
